Pancrea200 x 30mls
Pancreas function and blood sugar (glucose) level in a healthy body.
The pancreas has two main functions in the human body. The first function is the production of insulin that controls the body’s use of sugar and prevents diabetes. Insulin is produced and released by the pancreas according to how much sugar and carbohydrate we eat. The cells in the pancreas that produce insulin discharge it directly into the blood vessels surrounding each cell. Once in the blood stream, insulin combines with glucose to enable it to be absorbed into body’s cells via the cell membranes where it is burned chemically (metabolised) to provide the energy needed for each cell to operate.
The second function of the pancreas is to produce digestive enzymes needed to digest food. As food leaves the stomach and passes through the intestine the enzyme juices produced by the pancreas are squirted onto it. The churning action of the intestine mixes the enzymes into the food breaking it down into basic components that are more easily absorbed into the body
Pancreas function and blood sugar level in a disease state (diabetes).
In diabetics insulin is either not produced or is made ineffective because the cell membrane fails to allow the insulin and glucose to penetrate the cell. Starved of energy the cells weaken and eventually stop working. If insulin is the problem, then the patient has diabetes mellitus (sugar diabetes). Blood sugar levels will rise in the case of a damaged pancreas or when receptors on the cell walls, that are supposed to absorb sugar, are defective. Blood sugar levels can also rises when the liver fails to detect the high blood sugar level, and continues to release excessive glucose into the blood. When the blood glucose level exceeds 180 mg/dl to 200mg/dl it starts spilling into the urine.
Juvenile diabetes (Insulin-dependent) &Maturity onset diabetes (Non-insulin dependent).
There are two different types of diabetes. Although they both are caused by the inability of the body to use glucose, the cause of the disease in the two types is quite different. People who lack the insulin necessary to absorb the glucose into the cells have juvenile (type 1) insulin-dependent diabetes. If the insulin is not supplied they become steadily weaker because their muscles and other organs cannot work properly. There may be very high levels of glucose in their blood, but because it cannot enter the cells, it cannot help them. These diabetics need regular supplements of insulin to keep them healthy. Most cases of juvenile (type 1) diabetes occur during childhood or in early adulthood.
Older people who develop diabetes in later life have maturity onset (type 2) non-insulin dependent diabetes. These cases can often be controlled by careful regulation of the diet and by special medication. This is because there is not a lack of insulin in these patients, but a lack of response by the cells to the insulin. Medication can make the cell membranes respond to insulin again and assist with absorption of glucose into the cells.
Conventional Treatments.
In the case of insulin-dependent (type 1) diabetes the patient must receive regular injections of insulin. Insulin cannot be taken orally because it is destroyed by acids in the stomach. In the case of non-insulin dependent (type 2) diabetes a controlled diet and special tablets will normally keep the problem under control. Commonly used medications include tolbutamide, chlorpropamide, glibenclamide and glipizide.
Homoeopathic treatment.
PANCREA200 works by rebuilding the damaged beta cells of the pancreas, and by correcting the receptor silos of cells to help them to absorb blood sugar. It also supports the liver and the kidney functions.
Dosage & Administration.
STAGE 1.
Give one spray of PANCREA200 under the tongue every hour for the first 5 days of treatment. In addition, give one spray under the tongue every morning and night and 15 minutes before food.
STAGE 2.
Give one spray of PANCREA200 under the tongue twice daily - first thing in the morning and again last thing in the evening. In addition, give 1 spray under the tongue 15 minutes before food.
Most chronic diabetics can feel when their blood sugar levels are too high. PANCREA200 can also be taken on an as needed basis at 10-15 minute intervals to stabilise blood sugar levels. The 15 minute dosage should be continued until the patient no longer feels the symptoms associated with excessively high blood sugar levels.
Indications & Mode of Action:
The action of the medicine is to restore the damaged Beta cells and to restore blood sugar levels in the body to normal. It also helps to produce the digestive enzymes needed to break down food in the intestine. PANCREA200 does not immediately replace any given medication, but with proper self-monitoring and in conjunction with a doctor, dosage of either tablets or insulin can be gradually reduced according to monitored blood sugar levels and personal symptoms. As with all chronic diseases, the duration of treatment depends on the level of damage in the pancreas and/or the responsiveness of cell receptors to insulin. Continued use of PANCREA200 will eventually restore the function of the pancreas and permanently stabilise blood sugar levels.
How safe is this medicine?
Use during pregnancy: PANCREA200 can be used for treatment of all types of diabetes with complete safety during all stages of pregnancy.
Use with children: PANCREA200 can be used with complete safety to treat young children. The dosages specified for treatment of all types of diabetes should also be used for children. Body weight or physical maturity is not an issue for concern with homoeopathic medicines.
Overdose & Toxicity: There is no possibility of overdoses or toxic effects with PANCREA200, or any other homoeopathic medicines. PANCREA200 works on the immune system at the molecular level and stimulates the pancreas to repair itself. No chemical or toxic actions are used as part of the medicine’s mode of action.
Side effects: PANCREA200 does not cause side effects. Other medicines can also be taken with PANCREA200 without risk of contra indications.
Are there any precautions regarding the use of this medicine?
PANCREA200 like other homoeopathic medicines is very sensitive. Patients using this medicine must observe the following prohibitions:
1. Do not smoke at least 20 minutes before taking the medicine. For heavy smokers a cup of coffee can neutralise strong nicotine residue.
2. Do not brush your teeth with toothpaste at least 20 minutes before using the medicine.
3. Do not eat peppermints or strong tasting sweets at least 20 minutes before using the medicine.
4. Do not eat strongly spiced food at least 20 minutes before using the medicine.
5. The bottle should not be left in strong direct sunlight or in hot places above 35 Celsius.
6. The bottle must never be opened. If the contents are transferred to another container, exposed to strong odours or come in contact with a non-sterile object the medicine will be destroyed.
7. The bottle must not be exposed to X-rays. If travelling by plane wrap the bottle in aluminium foil or simply carry it so that it is not X-rayed with the cabin baggage at the security check-in.
If in doubt about oral cleanliness rinse the mouth with fresh water before using the medicine.
